III. Privacy
of Children Age 13 Years and Under:
Three Rivers
Federal Credit Union operates a site that is classified as a general interest
site, where members of all ages are invited to visit and submit questions,
comments, requests etc. Personally identifying information is collected
primarily to respond to aforementioned requests. Collected information
of children ages 13 years and younger is used as described below. In no
circumstances is personally identifying collected information shared with
non-affiliated third party entities.
Information provided by children age 13 and under, whether they are members
of the Credit Union or not, is used once to respond to their specific
request, be it question, comment, suggestion or service request (such
as applications submitted on-line). Afterwards, collected information
that is personally identifying is no longer maintained anywhere in the
Credit Union's records, with the exception of a parent/guardian authorized
service request. Printed copies are shredded, and electronic copies are
deleted.
If the collected
information is used to subscribe to a newsletter, service request, or
similar activity where service or repeated communication between the child
and the Credit Union is necessary, parental/guardian consent will be sought.
If such consent is not attainable prior to service activation or delivery
of second communication, the service and/or all proceeding communications
will be discontinued and personally identifying collected information
is destroyed. Again, printed copies are shredded, and electronic copies
are deleted. Personally identifying information that is collected is limited
to the minor's name, parental or guardian e-mail address and type of the
request. Additionally, no information beyond what is necessary to fulfill
the request is collected.
If a parent/guardian
at any time wishes to review the personally identifying collected information
about their child, they may do so after identity verification is provided.
Further, at any time, a parent/guardian of a child age 13 or under may
choose to have such information deleted from Credit Union records. To
do so, please request such assistance by e-mailing privacy@trfcu.org.
