Three Rivers FCU Simple Switch

Making the Switch...

Three Rivers FCU knows that making the switch from one financial institution to another seems to be a difficult task. There are so many things you will need to consider. To help make your transition as smooth as possible, we have created a simple formula for making a quick and painless change. Please feel free to contact us through any channel you prefer if you have questions.

Our staff members are happy to assist you in making your tansition to Three Rivers FCU - The Financial Solutions Center.

Note: The forms on this page require the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view/print. This is free software that is available for download by clicking the the Adobe Acrobat Reader button to the left.

STEP ONE: Open your TRFCU accounts

Open your Three Rivers FCU accounts. Once you do so, you'll have access to all TRFCU benefits; including free On-Line Account Access and low-cost loans. Simply bring the Membership Application into any branch location. We'll help you set up everything you need and answer any questions you might have at that time.

STEP TWO: Switch your automatic transactions
To assist you in contacting companies where you currently have automatic deposits and/or withdrawals, we have created a form. Some examples of whom you should contact include: any company where you have direct deposit for payroll or Social Security, mortgage companies, insurance, utilities, telephone and cable/satellite television providers. The enclosed Automatic Payment Request form can be copied and delivered to any company with which you have payments established. Use the Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction form to authorize your employer to initiate direct deposit into your TRFCU accounts. For setting up direct deposits from the U.S. Treasury Dept., please complete the ENR Enrollment Form and mail to Three Rivers FCU.

STEP THREE: Close your old accounts
Once your TRFCU accounts are open, stop using your old accounts and wait for outstanding transactions to clear. Some examples are checks that haven't cleared, debit card transactions or automatic payments. Once you are sure all outstanding activity has completed, close the accounts. The enclosed Official Notice to Close Account form can be copied and delivered to financial institutions where you have accounts open.

YOU’RE DONE!
That wasn't so difficult, was it? Welcome to the Three Rivers FCU community. We look forward to being The Financial Solutions Center for you and your family for years to come.
