For 80 years, 3Rivers has been helping people understand money matters every day. But it’s no secret that we do so much more! 3Rivers strives to be a proud and visible participant in our community.
As a cooperative, we love being out and about – with the people and in the places – that make this region so special. Through volunteerism, education, financial support, and sponsorships, 3Rivers continually gives back to the communities that have given so much to us.
Donating Our Dollars
Our 80th anniversary year is flying by. It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the fall. In 2015 alone, through the launch of the 3Rivers Credit Union Foundation and other community initiatives, we have invested nearly $200,000 back into the communities we serve.
Volunteering Our Time
In addition to financial support this year, we have volunteered with such impactful non-profits in the area, such as the Community Harvest Food Bank, Junior Achievement, Mad Anthony Children’s Hope House, and many more.
So far, our team members have volunteered over 2,200 hours in the communities in which we serve!
Supporting Local Events
This weekend, we’re sponsoring two very special events in downtown Fort Wayne.
We will have 12 team members walking in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walk to prevent suicide, raise awareness, and end the stigma that surrounds depression and other mental disorders. So far, our team has raised over $900 (with a goal of $1,000 by tomorrow!) to support this important cause. If you are interested in walking or learning more, click here.
We will also be out at Taste of the Arts. We are proud to support the mission of Arts United to provide our citizens with a thriving arts scene and a vibrant, cultural community. While you are tasting the arts and all the fine food offered at this awesome family event, stop by our table and get a taste of 3Rivers!
We are proud to be so much more than a vanilla, cookie-cutter financial institution (pun intended)!
