Sally Beauty is the latest retailer to have suffered a security breach. This is the second data breach for the company in just a little over a year. The retailer has posted complete information including information on how to sign up for free credit monitoring on their website.

In their statement, Sally Beauty states, “We have confirmed that criminals used malware believed to have been effectively deployed on some of our point-of-sale systems at varying times between March 6th and April 17th of 2015.” However, the retailer further clarifies, “we do not collect or store PIN Data. Therefore, we have no reason to believe, and have received no evidence to suggest, that debit card PINs may have been impacted.”

3Rivers is monitoring this situation closely and will take steps to ensure the cooperative’s risk to loss is as contained as possible. However, we highly encourage members to take proactive steps to keep fraud from happening on their accounts.
