Equifax Data Breach Settlement
Equifax has worked with the Federal Trade Commission and the Financial Protection Bureau to develop benefits geared toward helping consumers who were affected by the Equifax breach in September 2017.

Consumers have the option to enroll in free credit monitoring and identity theft protection for up to 10 years OR file a claim to receive $125. Consumers can also receive free help for recovering from identity theft, and, starting in 2020, receive six free credit reports per year (for up to seven years).
