Business Plus Checking

Whether your business is just getting started or has been established for years, having a checking account designed to grow along with it will help you and your employees thrive. Our Business Plus Checking account supports you through every stage of your business’s journey. Business Plus Checking is an ideal solution for businesses that maintain an average-to-higher balance. This checking account rewards businesses with a dividend on the balance kept in the account and provides a full suite of solutions – giving business members the flexibility to managing their accounts the way they want.

An initial deposit of $25.00 is required to open the account. Your monthly fee is based on the number of items* posting to your account and may be waived if you meet average daily balance requirements. For example, each individual check counts as an item. If you have more than 400 items in a month, a per-item charge of $0.40 is added to the monthly maintenance charge. Please see the Business Checking Information Sheet for the tiered service charges and fee waiver balance requirements.

*An item is any debit or credit to the account with the exception of wires (as they have a separate charge). Transaction items such as Remote Deposit Capture and Payroll (which are processed through Business Bill Payer) are counted as a single item. Please note debt card transactions are not included in the item count.

Health Savings Account (HSA) for Business

The most important part of any business is its employees. 3Rivers wants to ensure that your team is taken care of. By offering a well-rounded health insurance plan, you can ensure your employees have the opportunity to stay healthy.

To help make this process more efficient, our 3Rivers Relationship Managers are more than happy to spend time at your business’s location in order to open these accounts and answer any questions your employees may have.

2Variable rate account, rate is subject to change anytime after account opening. Fees could reduce earnings. Please see our Fee Disclosure Statement for further information about fees potentially related to these accounts.

Money Market Accounts

These accounts typically offer a higher dividend rate than traditional savings accounts.

A Money Market Account (MMA) is a savings account that typically offers a higher dividend rate than traditional savings accounts. All Money Market Accounts are limited to six (6) pre-authorized, automatic or electronic transfer, telephone order, or telephone instruction. Here's a look at our MMA options.

Optional Money Account (OMA)

Our Optional Money Account (OMA) is a money market account that pays more than a standard savings account. This account operates on a tiered rate schedule, meaning higher balances result in higher yields. This account is available to both businesses and consumers.

Money Plus Money Market Account

Our Money Plus Money Market Account is designed for members who carry even higher balances in their money market account to receive higher rates. It also offers the convenience of check writing capabilities (up to three checks per month). This account is available to both businesses and consumers.

Index Money Market Account

Ready to invest in a savings account that offers easy access and more on returns? Our Index Money Market account – designed for both consumers and businesses – provides you with flexibility and earning power, with fewer withdrawal limitations. This account is designed for large balance carriers and provides a stable rate without having to commit to a specific term.

The Index Money Market account is tied to the Federal Funds Index, which means the rate will align with market rates, and not otherwise determined by the credit union. This means as the Federal Fund rates move, your money will automatically move with the markets rate.

Note: This account requires a $100,000.00 opening balance, and $100,000.00 must be maintained at all times. There is a $25.00 penalty during any month in which the account falls below $100,000.00. Guaranteed the rate will not go below 0.25% APY..

Business ACH Origination

Automated Clearing House (ACH) allows businesses to send and receive funds electronically, through a secure software that is built specifically to fit each business’s needs.* The following are some examples of what Business ACH Origination can be used for:

  • Direct Deposit – The Business ACH Origination allows our business members to pay their employees electronically. The user-friendly system will also allow split deposits to be made for those employees who have this request or need it.
  • Collection of Payments – The Business ACH Origination gives our business members the ability to collect payments owed to them in a safe, secure, and timely manner, helping to improve cash-flow.
  • Payments – The Business ACH Origination also allows businesses to pay their invoices and vendors electronically, so they know when the funds are leaving their account while providing tracking of these payments.

*All 3Rivers business accounts are able to receive deposits and withdrawals from other merchants. Our ACH services allow for the sending and receiving of payments when needed for the structure of their business.

Remote Deposit Capture

Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) gives business owners the ability to make deposits from the comfort of their own office. By using a simple desktop scanner and web-based technology, you can eliminate the need to drive to a branch to make deposit, have the funds in your account quickly, and improve your cash-flow. This technology can also be used to track the payment history of your customers and store images of their checks.

Merchant Services

3Rivers understand the importance of our businesses being able to accept debit and credit cards as payments. We partner with Payment Processing Consultants (PPC) to ensure our business members are being offered not only competitive rates, but outstanding support and service, too. Whether you need to accept debit card and credit card payments through a website, terminal, or mobile device, PPC will provide you with a free quote or comparison.

Online Wire Transfers

Many merchants and vendors prefer to have their payments sent through wire transfers. 3Rivers offers our members the option to send these through our online banking system. This system allows you to send domestic or international wires from wherever is most convenient to you.

Business Mobile APP

Being able to manage your business finances anytime, anywhere has become a necessity. Our business mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices, providing you the ability to monitor your accounts at all times. The business mobile app also provides owners the convenience of making deposits through their mobile device up to $25,000 a day.

Line of Credit Sweep Accounts

Being able to earn and save every penny is important for our business member, and 3Rivers wants to ensure you have the right tools in place to do just that. The Line of Credit Sweep Account provides an automatic way to transfer funds between a business line of credit and business checking account. This service helps to reduce the amount of interest that is paid on the line of credit while allowing the funds in the checking account to earn dividends without the manual transfer between the two.

Business Credit Cards

We understand the importance of our business members maintaining their deposits for cash-flow and have found that providing business credit cards helps to eliminate the need for debit cards. While debit cards are convenient, these items (or transactions) can be difficult to track when utilized frequently. The 3Rivers Business Credit Card gives our members the flexibility to purchase items needed without worrying about the balance available in the operating account.

* All 3Rivers business card holders have to be a signor on the deposit account associated with the card and that the credit card gives the owner the ability to control spend limits and purchase restrictions.

Online Banking and Bill Pay

3Rivers’ Online Banking and Bill Pay options allow our members to have a “real time” overview of their accounts while managing their everyday operations. The following are the features:

  • View accounts and transactions
  • Transfer funds between accounts belonging to the business
  • Send wire transfers
  • Set up stop payments
  • Make loan payments for loans belonging to the business
  • Set up and control users of the system
